ECOBAGS.COM is happy to introduce the creations of featured artist Dianne Annelli to our Art on Canvas™ collection. Dianne takes her inspiration from nature and offers a number of beautiful block-printed designs upon our ECOBAGS® Canvas Tote Bags. A percentage of the proceeds from these bags will be donated to St. Vincent De Paul Place, providing for poor and homeless individuals in her home town.

About Dianne
Dianne credits her grandmothers with encouraging and cultivating her creative side from a very young age; both were wonderful artists and they shared their love of art with her. Her formal artistic studies began at the Fort Lauderdale Art Institute where she learned airbrushing and then were fine-tuned at Paier School of Art, where she focused on Commercial Design and Illustration.

After school, Dianne went to work in a copy shop that offered the region’s first color printing, producing work for Wesleyan University and area ad agencies. This established her career in graphic design and she worked her way from freelancing through to positions within Ames Department Stores and Bob’s Stores, eventually serving as the Art Director for this regional retail chain. In 2003 Dianne opened the thriving design business she runs today (www.dianneannelli.com).

Dianne’s artistic path has been a journey through many ventures including a faux finishing business, hand-painting floorcloths, handbags for gift shops and even a seat on the board of the Connecticut River Artisans in Chester. Her Art on Canvas bags are beautifully reminiscent of the artistic spirit that established her love of design from the beginning.

About the St. Vincent de Paul Place The St. Vincent de Paul Place provides food, clothing, shelter, and basic human services to poor and homeless individuals regardless of race, creed, national origin, criminal history, or recidivism. The group offers meals through its soup kitchen and pantry items through its food pantry. They also deliver emergency assistance through their numerous outreach programs. The St. Vincent de Paul Place is located in Middletown, CT, Dianne’s hometown.

"Dianne- Wow, it’s so great when folks like yourself make donations like this! As you probably know, most of our work happens because we receive little bits here and there that adds up to a lot of food and services for people. The ecobags website is wonderful, looks like great products and the theme of social responsibility is very evident. Thanks so much for including SVDP and the people we serve in the mix with such a good company, your creativity, and your generosity."

-Ron Krom, Exec. Director, St. Vincet DePaul Place
