**Why don't we ship all of our orders without plastic? 

We ship our products from our partners of 30+ years in India in bulk by container ship. Due to the organic nature of our products, they could be damaged by water, dirt, mold, mildew, pests, etc (and therefore rendered unsaleable and creating more waste) if left exposed to the elements. 

**Why not use compostable bags? 

Compostable bags unfortunately do not have the shelf life we require for our products. Home compostable bags break down within a few months to a year, and our products must stay protected for at least one year. This ensures our products stay safe while in transport and in storage. 

We are actively looking to work with companies pioneering alternatives to film plastics that meet our requirements.
